    This Privacy Notice explains how Christopher Lindell ("we", "us", "our"), trading as RankToOne, collects and processes personal data when you use the RankToOne service (the "Service").

    1. Controller

    2. Categories of personal data

    • Account data: name, email address, hashed password, authentication identifiers.
    • Usage data: queries entered, content briefs generated, feature interactions, log data.
    • Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, cookies.
    • Support data: messages and attachments sent to support.
    • Billing data: handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle (see Section 5).

    3. Purposes and legal bases

    • Providing the Service and account management — performance of a contract.
    • Security, fraud prevention, and abuse detection — legitimate interests.
    • Service improvement and analytics — legitimate interests.
    • Customer support — performance of a contract.
    • Marketing communications (where applicable) — consent.
    • Compliance with legal obligations — legal obligation.

    4. Data retention

    We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Account data is kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to handle legal and accounting obligations.

    • Service providers and subprocessors used for hosting, database, AI inference, analytics, and support.
    • Paddle.com Market Ltd, acting as our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the Service, payments, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing.
    • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
    • Authorities and regulators where required by law.

    6. International transfers

    Where personal data is transferred outside your jurisdiction, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

    7. Your rights

    Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We aim to respond to requests within one month.

    We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Service (authentication, security) and may use analytics cookies to understand usage. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
